Viventium Ready

We need to prepare students for the jobs that have not yet been created, for the new products that have not yet been invented, and for the new skills to build towards creativity and innovation. Educators worldwide realize that Life Skills are best learned through 'Experience' and include some kind of 'science project' as a part of school curricula. The school 'science projects' are face difficulties in being effective. They require logistics and a myriad of materials and adult supervision and guidance. Think space, scissors(!), glue, motors, batteries, mains power(!), wires, chemicals(! ) etc. etc. As a result, many students end up doing only 1-2 projects in a year. In many cases, the parents do 90% of the work!

Computer Programming and Dramatics projects enable the students to work on their own and create 1-2 projects per week! The jump in the level and depth of the Life Skill experience is over a 100 times more than a typical 'science project'!

Children are born creative and have unbounded imagination. We need to equip the children of today with skills to bring these ideas to life; to turn them into entrepreneurs / Intrapreneurs and business leaders of tomorrow.

Many of the Life Skills like Influencing, Persuasion and Negotiation require working and collaborating with other individuals. Working in teams on 'projects' is the ideal environment to experience and imbibe these skills. The program includes an online, interactive 'game' called 'Prelude' that participants play that teaches them important project management thought processes. The game also helps to build effective project teams by accelerating the team's progression through the Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing stages.

There's a lot to enjoy. We have chosen 'Computer Programming' and 'Dramatics' as the key mediums for this program.

The Program is organized into 6 modules. Each module is made up of a variety of hands-on, team-based activities designed to build the key 21 st Century Skills that are the focus of the program

  • Team Building
  • Project Thinking
  • Skill Building - on ' Computer Programming'
  • Dramatics and Dramatics project
  • Computer Programming Project
  • Presentation

In the program, students get to quickly work on their own to create 10-15 mini-projects! This way they will have a sense of achievement because they will be encouraged to think, explore, learn, design, execute and most importantly present and share their creation. They will come up with new ideas.

There will be challenges, excitement and FUN. The module is run in a small batch size of just 6-10 students with a computer for every child. In future we will conduct a contest for our students of all the batches.
